About

I'm Peter Varga. I'm an engineer.

I have an MSc in electrical engineering from the Budapest University of Technology. For thirty years I have made enterprise software actually work: SAP delivery for Nokia, Nike, Apple, and Delta, and most recently as an SAP/AI developer at CVS Health through mid-2026.

Alongside that I have built and run businesses of my own. A 5.8 GHz wireless internet provider that grew to about 500 accounts. AlertJack, an industrial IoT security platform. Crankk, a LoRaWAN network built on Kadena. Those taught me what it is like when the payroll is yours and the phone has to get answered.

Recently I built Understudy, a tool that maps how work really moves through a role, and used it on my own job first. Then saybooks.io, a business system where an AI agent and a person keep the same books under the same rules, and VoiceLender, a voice assistant that answers in real time from a business's own data and can act on it. Those three are where this practice comes from.

Most owners I talk to have tried AI and gotten nothing durable out of it. Not because AI doesn't work, but because nobody with real systems experience sat down with them and wired it into how the business actually runs. That is a job I know how to do, and I would rather do it in person.

I live in the Portland area. Book a call, or invite me to run a workshop.
