AI That Actually Does Work in Your Business

No slides beyond the title. One attendee brings a real problem. I build a working automation for it in front of the room, and everyone leaves with something they can use that afternoon.

The hour

  1. 0 to 5What most owners have tried, and why it stalled. No statistics, just what I hear in offices.
  2. 5 to 15The room picks one real problem. Intake, quoting, scheduling, invoices, follow-up. Whoever brought it describes how it works today.
  3. 15 to 45I build it, live. You watch the choices get made: what the system reads, what it writes, where a person stays in charge.
  4. 45 to 55What it would take to run this for real: cost, what could go wrong, what to measure.
  5. 55 to 60Questions.

Who it's for

Owners and managers of businesses with roughly 5 to 50 people, where the owner still works in operations. Contractors, trades, property management, small law and accounting firms, clinics and care facilities, small manufacturers and distributors.

You do not need to know anything about AI. If you have used ChatGPT to write an email, you are ahead of most of the room.

What you leave with

  • One automation you watched get built on a problem like yours
  • A one-page checklist for spotting work in your business that a system could take over
  • A clear idea of what the first step costs and how long it takes

Sessions

Upcoming and past

First sessions are being scheduled for fall 2026. Recordings and photos from each one will appear here.

For hosts

Chambers, SBDC programs, coworking spaces, associations.

I run the session free for member organizations in the Portland metro. You provide the room, a screen, and the invitation to your members. I bring everything else and do it on your schedule. Sessions are recorded with the host's permission, and hosts get the recording.

What I need from you: a date, a room for 15 to 40 people, and one member willing to bring a real problem. If nobody volunteers, I bring one.
